Have you ever felt really frustrated when you go to somewhere that has wireless access but ::

1. You just CAN'T find a nice, comfortable spot to study or access to the internet ?!

2. You get connected successfully to the Wireless@SG BUT cannot surf the internet due to too much users using the wireless connection or low signal strength , and feel like slamming the computer just because you cannot facebook or tweet?!

3. Or there isn't any wireless which you thought there was.

Well,it is always option 1 and 2 for me because the connection at the national library was so slow that you can take an MRT from Pasir Ris to Bugis and the page has not complete loading!And the place isn't conducive enough due to the lack of seats in air conditioned areas!

Therefore, where other places should Singtel have wireless connection for us to access the internet very convienently and fast?!

At Bus Stops

- It is a really damn humid weather. You didn't subscribe to the internet for your mobile phone and you need to know when's the next bus coming as you have waited for the bus for 10 minutes or more!Worst still, there's no Real-time Bus Arrival Information Panel to inform you of the next bus arriving.

So, I bet YOU will hope that there's bus stops with air conditioned and WIFI enabled like San Fransico so that you won't mind the wait for the bus. It doesn't matter to you the waiting time because you can enjoy a youtube movie or check out latest photos on facebook with your laptop or mobile phone while waiting for the bus to arrive. And you can just check for the arrival time via SBS TRANSIT iris Next Bus .I hope so too.

On the Bus

- It is a really long 2 hours ride from Tampines to Dover to get to Singapore Polytechnic or any other destination . Sure you will get bored like me too. So, why not have WIFI on the bus so that you can upload photos, videos on facebook and tweet on twitter on how you are feeling, plurking what you should eat for lunch and check out the latest promotions for Singtel Youth Plan so that you can change from other service providers to Singtel when your contract ends !

On the Train

The wait for train isn't that long for sure. It won't take more than 10 minutes during peak periods , so, I don't mind if there isn't a internet connection at MRT Stations. Because the moment you connect to Wifi, your train will arrive at the station.

Hence, why not have SINGTEL WIFI on the trains so that you can refer to online lecture notes ,chit chat with your friends or check for latest facebook updates when you board an hour train ride to your school or workplace !

After all, you won't feel really bored like me on the train when there's wireless enabled as there isn't radio signal in the tunnel and it is really boring to sleep or look around...Doing something is better than Nothing!

Beach/Swimming Pool

Well, most people go to the beach and swimming pool for sun tanning and, of course swimming!Most guys will go there for tanning at the same time. So, why not have SINGTEL WIFI so that while sun-tanning, we can surf the internet for gossips,blogging,tweeting(telling everyone you are tanning for better looks!) and perhaps, chat on IM(Instant Messaging) to share with your friends the pretty or hunk eye-glories (maybe you secretly snap the picture!) and you just can't wait to upload the photo to your blog or facebook!:)

Senior Citizen's Corner

......Not forgetting our older generation lastly.......

There's a chinese proverb -"", hence, it is essential to keep learning on how to use new technology,and not sticking on old technologies !

Our older generation lacks of Technicial Skills and Knowlege in IT (using computers,surfing the internet) so, we have to keep them informed of the latest news and crime prevention tips so that they won't land up being the victims! Therefore, I feel that it is essential for SINGTEL Wireless to be installed in places where old folks gather together and gossip. For instance, senior citizen corners and Homes For The Aged (Old Folks Home) can be a good idea for wireless to be installed!
