Sponsored Trip
Still searching for the cool escapade you’ve always wanted ? You’ve landed at the right place for so much more exciting programmes happening at the PEAK ! Read on for more ~ Launch Video

Invited by Resort World Genting with 3 other local bloggers – Mint , Chrispytine & Darren , we headed off for a weekend escapade to enjoy the Largest Balloon Festival in South East Asia up at the Peak , Genting Highlands .

The jam at the causeway to Malaysia was horrendous which we were stuck in almost 3 hours but that didn’t deter us to attend the launch of the Balloon Festival – just in time for the opening !

Our 2 hosts for the trip ! Thanks to Meng Hong and Xiew Jiun for hosting us from the moment we landed at Genting Highlands to the time we leave the Peak !

We’re finally at the PEAK , after a 10 hours bus ride . Unbelievably , the balloon right behind yours truely is growing bigger every minute !

The much entertaining host and performer from Belgium – Tom Bibo who is also an international balloon sculptor up on the stage to greet the opening of the Balloon Art Festival at the PEAK !

Dato Anthony Yeo whom we met for lunch at Resort World Genting , Vice President of the sponsors from Mamee Monster , Beryl’s Chocolate , Fujifilm up on stage to knock off the start !

The Burst of balloons from the Bigger Balloon ~ so colourful and mesmerizing !

More smokey effects to the floating balloons ! If any kids manage to catch it on the ride above !

One of the few costumes made of balloons and fit the whole model’s body !

The fashion runway – so pinkish and a little mix of chocloately – balloons like chocolate bars that fit so nicely !

One that looks like chicken drumstick or hotdog – but it does take much effort to build the sculptures and wear it on the model !

The beautiful model with balloons all over – sexy i should say ! Starish design at the back – very creative indeed !

Another impressive sculpture – 2 in 1 and the real man is inside of the balloons – wonder how long it took to build this !

One of the bigger balloon built on the spot – that’s a dog !

The dog balloon that no one can beat making off it on the spot THAT BIG ! Mesmerizing indeed !

Tom Bibo with his tricks right again …. this time a bigger one !

I hope he’s not too serious on this ………. is he ?????

And WOW , he is really serious – trying to fit his face into the balloon .. imagine if it bursts !

Getting his body into the balloon hole …. and wondering why’s the balloon is swelling !

Amazingly .. he’s INSIDE THE BALLOON with his feets on the ground – getting his balance right !!!!

Now with his head popping out and body’s still in the balloon !

The MOMENT of EXCITEMENT !!!!!!

And it BURST ! Thank god he’s safe !
Besides the daily stage demonstration by Tom Bibo daily from NOW till 26 June at 2:00 PM , 7:30 PM , 10:00 PM , catch the different huge balloon exhibits on display at First World Hotel Plaza near the stage ! If you’re small enough , get yourself up the skies on a balloon , indoor though .
Watch the whole LIVE Performance @ Genting Highlands Soft launch of Balloon Festival 2011 .
6 international balloon art sculptors include Alberto Falcone & Federico Onida from Italy , Stone Chang from Taiwan , Azusa Ieizumi , Akane Shibata and Charry from Japan contribute to the success of the SEA’s largest Balloon Festival in Genting Highlands !

The little boy feeling he’s not peak enough and go for more challenges on the earth ! You can too , for a minimum spending of RM 30 at featured booths on the Universal Walk @ First World Plaza – so get your shopping goodies while your kid is flying up in the air , once .

Be mesmerized by the colourful and balloon designs that are too out of the box , at First World Plaza ! And of course , the kids won’t be disappointed as Transformers will be on displays , in balloons , much less furious that you see them on TV .

One of the colourful 8″ bumble bee on display – bigger than your height for sure and how much effort it needs to fix and built when it flies to malaysia ! Try riding on it …. not .

No worries that balloons will frighten some kids – engage ‘em in some awesome fun , near the stage where you play with cups ( the only time your mummy won’t scold you for playing with cups ! ) and challenge with friends on some games !

Another spot to be in the balloon festival mood is up at the Snow World – catch it right in front of the ticketing office and try hugging it when you’re cold in the Snow World !

Go green with balloons & the model of course ! And i look short here somehow !

Another shot that looks japanese !
Loves the costumes made of balloons !

Tom Bibo with the media on his balloon sculpting interviews …….
