Being a popular attraction marked on the maps of Manila, the Rizal Park Philippines is a landmark of the city where one shouldn’t miss on their visit to the capital.
Located in a park at the Intramuros, the Lapu Lapu Monument serves as a gift from the Koreans to honor the memory of Filipinos who helped during the Korean War in the early 1950s whom were also recognised as the First National Heros of the country.

The best way to enjoy Rizal Park is riding on a horse-ride which costs about SGD $5 – a touristy way to go on a unique exploration without having your foot sore after a long walk within the park which will take about 40 mins or so.
There’re several big events that happened at the Rizal Park which includes 2005 SOUTH EAST ASIA Games as well as the Amazing Race Season 5 where it’s a Route Marker in the reality show.

Near the end of the park, there is a big man-made lake where couples love to stroll along the bridge or simply just have a little pinic under the tree. In the middle of the lake, there’s a relief map that outlines the mountainous areas of Philippines.

Built in the year 1820, the Rizal Park now has several main attractions like the Lapu Lapu statue, kilometer zero, relief map and more within the park.

Not forgetting your shades, hats and a map to get you around the bustling city, that can get a little messy and lost of directions, sometimes.
